Key note address: Type 1 Diabetes in Sri Lanka , an Overview. Dr Mahen Wijesooriya Director of the National Diabetes Center, Secretary of the Diabetes Association of Sri Lanka presented the keynote address via Skype for Sri Lanka. He spoke of the mission of the Diabetes Association of Sri Lanka to reduce the incidence and prevalence of Diabetes Mellitus through primary prevention. The National Diabetes Center offers screening for complications, and insulin bank, research and advocacy.
