Crohn’s and Colitis: Stony Brook Walks for a Cure
The Division of Gastroenterology and the Department of Medicine at Stony Brook University Medical Center in association with the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of America (CCFA), raised $95000 towards research for a cure at a walk one sunny Sunday in October. The walk was held on campus at Stony Brook, supported by local businesses and entertained by the Seawolves band and cheerleaders. Approximately 700 attendees walked the 2 mile route around the campus after a ribbon cutting and ceremonial take off with the band. Funds raised are used by the CCFA to support research programs around the country.
