Happy New Year! Here’s wishing you a Prosperous and Healthy 2019.

Let me update you on SLMANA news.

The SLMANA Annual General Meeting was held November 11th in New Jersey, preceding the Holiday Party. Darshi Sunderam completed her two year term as president and the new president Arune Seneviratne took over. Darshi has worked tirelessly for SLMANA and we are grateful for all her endeavors and look forward to her continued support of the organization. In this Newsletter we bring you messages from both the outgoing and incoming presidents.

In this issue we continue to bring you information about original research by members. We welcome news from all our members so please feel free to email me with any medical or non-medical articles/opinion pieces you may wish to include in the Newsletter. In addition to the annual charity ball, fundraising was taken to a new level by Dr Sunderam who hosted a very successful talent show/fundraiser at her home.

We fund a variety of projects in Sri Lanka and I have included one of these projects sponsored by Dr Denepitiya.
